Teaching the Sun Salutation in the Art of Yoga is a beautiful thing. However, teaching Yoga and the poses incorporated in the Sun Salutation is more like instructing then teacher. Instruction Yoga is very different and a little more difficult because it is not a skill activity. As I was instructing my Yoga lesson, I did not give feedback like I wanted to. I was concentrating on showing the class the different poses so I was unable to walk around giving feedback.
Next class, I am going to assign stations with different poses and divide the class into groups so they can work on that one pose. This allows me to walk around and give corrective and positive feedback to the students.
